“Let us follow Jesus” was the theme for the Schoenstatt Girls rally day held during Lent. Thirty four girls were lead through the day by a group of nine young Schoenstatt Youth leaders. The leaders had prepared the day two weeks before during their annual Leaders Training Weekend. Taking up Pope Francis initiative to be Merciful like the Father, the girls looked at how they can do this in their lives, how they can walk in the footsteps of Jesus. The highlight of day was a treasure hunt where the children had to find clues to decipher the corporal works of Mercy and were given a challenge to make a skit depicting how they can practice this in tier own lives – a lot of creativity was shown. To remind the girls that they are followers of Jesus each one could make their own cross necklace out of beads which they could take home with them. The day ended with a visit to the shrine where the girls sung with full volume and enthusiasm the song they had learnt during the day.
