This community is part of the world-wide Schoenstatt Movement. It consists of women who live their Marian apostolic consecration in the midst of the world, working in regular jobs in all fields of human activity, including education, health care, industry and commerce. They live their commitment to the evangelical counsels without making vows. Like the other Schoenstatt Secular Institutes, they are bound by a consecration to Our Lady, the Mother thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt and a contract with the community to live according to the way of life of the community. This includes living without community houses, in plain lay clothes, not identifiable as consecrated women, aiming to be a connection between God and his creation by being present to others as Mary and Jesus were, nurturing attachments in their family and social circles. They foster a life of prayer and action, exercising a wide apostolate in their parish and workday situations. A favourite image for this way of life is the parable of the “yeast which a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour till it was leavened all through” (Mt 13,33).
